What can I explore here?
Create your birth chart, read your sign's horoscope, follow the sky and calendars, try tarot, or calculate your numerology numbers. All of these tools are free.
What is a birth chart?
It's a map of the sky at the minute and place you were born: where the Sun, the Moon, and the planets were, which signs they were in, and which areas of life they fall in. Those areas are called houses.
Enter your birth details and you'll see your Sun and Moon right away, drawn on a chart wheel, plus your Ascendant if you know your birth time.
Do I need to know my birth time?
Not for everything. Your birth chart can show your Sun and Moon without it. If the Moon changed signs that day, you'll see both possibilities.
Your Ascendant and houses depend on your birth time, and the solar return calculator needs it too. Your birth certificate may list it, or someone in your family may remember.
Why isn't my sign what I thought it was?
The Sun changes signs on a slightly different day each year, so the date ranges you see for the signs are only approximate. If you were born close to one of those days, your sign is the one the Sun was in at the exact moment of your birth. Enter your birth details, and we'll work it out for you.
How accurate is my chart?
As accurate as the birth details you enter. We check our calculations against data from NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), and across 24 test dates from 1900 to 2100, the largest difference is under 0.01°, a hundredth of a degree.
Why does another app or site show my planets in different houses or signs?
Usually neither one is wrong: the two charts were just calculated differently. The other app may use a different house system, or the sidereal zodiac of Vedic astrology, which puts most planets one sign earlier. Or the birth time, time zone, or city was entered a little differently.
We use Placidus houses, the tropical zodiac, the true North Node, and mean Lilith. If two charts still disagree, first check that both use the same birth date, time, and city.
Are my birth details sent anywhere?
Calculations run on your device. The transit tools keep your birth details only in this browser tab so you can compare results. They aren't sent to us.
The personal transit and chart overlay tools can keep birth details in this tab for comparing charts. These details stay in the browser's session storage. Use the tool's clear-comparison option or close the tab to remove them.
Can astrology predict the future?
Astrology describes tendencies and timing. It cannot promise what will happen.
Use it as a mirror, not a verdict: keep what rings true and leave the rest.
Is the daily horoscope really about me?
Partly. Each horoscope is written for one Sun sign, based on where the planets actually are that day, so it speaks to everyone born under that sign, not just you. Your own chart, with your Moon, your Ascendant, and your houses, says a lot more about you in particular.
Can I delete my data?
In the transit tools, use Clear saved details or close the tab to remove your birth details. To remove the location selected in the top bar, clear Astralmundi's site data in your browser settings.
To remove your selected sky and calendar location, clear this site's data in your browser settings.
For questions or requests about your data, email privacy@astralmundi.com.
Which location does the sky chart use?
The circle on the homepage shows the sky at the current moment. It uses the place selected in the location control. If you've already allowed location access in your browser, the site may also detect it when you open the page. A city you select takes priority.
If no location is selected or detected, the site uses Greenwich. You can change the place or return to Greenwich with the same control. The sky chart updates every minute while it's visible.
Which date is the horoscope for, and how far back can I read?
The date appears with each reading. The English edition follows US Eastern Time, the Portuguese edition follows Brasília time, and the Spanish edition follows Madrid time.
Each sign's page shows today and any published readings from the previous six calendar days. The date strip takes you straight to those readings; days without a reading aren't shown as options. If no approved reading is available for today, the site won't relabel yesterday's as new.
How do tarot and numerology work?
For tarot, choose a spread and a theme. The cards are drawn at random on your device, and you can include reversed cards. Numerology calculates numbers from the name and date you enter.
The text offers symbolic reflections, not promises about what will happen. Your name and optional tarot question stay on your device and aren't sent to us.
